The oldest Thracian sanctuary in Sboryanovo Historical & Architectural Reservation is to be found in the "Kamen Rid" locality. On the high, sun-scorched and wind-lashed rocky plateau sacrifices were offered to the God of Sun. The sanctuary had been founded at the beginning of the 1st millennium BC and existed till the beginning of the Hellenistic Age for almost seven centuries. The sanctuary area is 47, 5 decares, surrounded by one meter high stonewalls preserved even to the present day.

The only entrance to the sacred territory is from the south where the remains of its oldest stonewall can still be seen. A number of fireplaces had been built on the naked stone near it.Large stone circles mark the places where the religious rite took place. Beautiful vessels, spindle nuts and small occult objects such as amulets and clay idols were placed in pits, dug into the very rock, to win the divine grace. The baby bones and human skull pieces found during the excavations have given grounds to assume that human sacrifices had also taken place here.

A large sacrificial stone has been placed in one of the circles. The complex has all the characteristic features of a Mediterranean sanctuary: lack of any defensive structures, walls with fencing function only and entrance from the South.
